FBMS Band Director Asa Jernigan Gets Fifth Prestigious Superior Award

On January 12, 2017 at The Florida Music Educators Association Conference in Tampa Florida Mr. Jernigan, director of the Fernandina Beach Middle School Bands, received the 5 year Superior Award for Middle School Band for the fifth time in TWENTY FIVE YEARS! This means twenty five years of Superior ratings across two schools: FBMS school years 1991-92 through 2002-03, MMS (Mandarin Middle School) School years 2003-04 through 2012-13 & FBMS school years 2013-14 and 2015-16. This is an unprecedented achievement. Congratulations to Asa Jernigan and all the many band students he has taught.
